Hello my lovely readers,
Long time, no see. I know, I know..I've been MIA for these past couple of weeks but to make up for lost time I brought to you today a post that is very dear to my heart.
Now, although I'm 20 years old and have only heard about the 70s through my parents' stories, it still feels like an era I wanted to live in. Something about the freedom, the music, something about the romance of it all makes me want to hop onto a time-travel machine.
So you can imagine my delight once I figured how big the 70s trend was this Spring. It made me ridiculously excited to know that I can don these high waisted pants and midi skirts and floppy hats shamelessly. If we got the clothes on and the music playing we can pretend we're there, right?
The 70s trend is all about finding a modernized way to wear it. Sadly we're still in 2015 and we have to look like we belong in 2015. Well that's a bummer, but it's life. To own the 70s style you don't have to go after every single trend that it comprises of but you just have to add a few touches to your current wardrobe. Think about what would complement the rest of your items. Don't change your whole wardrobe for one trend, that would be impractical, space-consuming and very bad for your wallet. Think about what could be incorporated into your style that doesn't feel too foreign. It's always fun to try new styles, as long as it is done wisely.
Below you will find 7 looks including all the hot trends that make the 70s style, that don't look dated or retro. Let me know which one you like the best.
This is such a great post! It's super helpful ♥
