Hello gorgeous readers,
I am so happy to present you today our latest how-to on this office chic look. A week or so ago, I made a post about the perfect work-ready outfits (you can find it here). I'm staying in this general theme today, and I'm giving you the perfect makeup to go with these looks.
I think sometimes before an important meeting or an interview you can get a little nervous. It's best to take a little time for yourself and just sit down and put some effort into the way you look. I find the process of doing my makeup very relaxing and making myself feel pretty gives me a great confidence which is always a good thing when it comes to business.
Now this is a makeup look that can be used for pretty much every occasion, not just work per se. It's a great look for anytime of the day and any place. It's definitely toned down, nothing too excessive or glamorous. The point of this look is to just give you a little boost and perk you up without taking all the attention from what you want to say. In a professional environment, you want to get your point across not showcase your makeup techniques (unless you're a makeup artist LOL).
That's why I kept the look mostly matte, minus some champagne-y shimmery eyeshadow on the lids. I figured you can get away with a little bit of shimmer if the rest of the look is shine-free. Another thing that should be noted is that you should keep your base as light and as natural as possible. For that reason I used a CC cream and a dampened beauty sponge for a skin-like effect. It doesn't matter if a few blemishes show through or if your dark circles aren't completely covered. No one expects a full, flawless face of makeup at 9am.
I've included all the tips and tricks in the video below, so just click and tell me what you think!
