While the fashion world is buzzing with Fashion Month stories, I decided to take a step back from the frenzy surrounding the ongoing fashion shows and focus on what's currently trending and is about to overtake our wishlist. Temperatures may still be a little low but Spring fashion is always shining a little ray of light on the gloomiest of days. If the clothes are sunny then maybe we can force Spring to come a little sooner?
As an overall comment, it looks like fashion is going into a direction that embraces maximalism in a minimalist style. That may sound unorthodox at best but loud color, dramatic volume and clashing prints are approached in a more laid-back manner, finally finding a real place in our wardrobe, not just as "art" pieces but wearable clothes. Wearable is often thrown around a little too much when talking collections and while it may mean different things to different people, I think most would agree that it coincides with 'practical'. So yes, maximalist styles can be practical in 2018 and prove that fun clothes are not meant just to be looked at.
