Beauty Edit: Current Favorites

Hello dollies and welcome back to my blog!

On this quick post I wanted to let you know about my current favorite beauty products that I simply can't get enough of!

I've recently dived into the beauty world as a blogger/ vlogger and it is still new and exciting for me to share all these new things I've learned over the past couple of years. I've been lurking on beauty websites and channels too long that at some point I felt the need to put my own voice out there.

But I'm not gonna blabber any more - I tend to do that sometimes - so here's what you need to know:

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Probably the very last girl on the Naked bandwagon. I've known about these palettes for-freakin-ever but since they're not available in Greece I was hesitant to splurge. At the beginning of Fall I realized a needed a new palette that was more on the cool side, as in taupe-y, silver-y shades and I couldn't be more spot on with this one. Best makeup purchase I ever made, The quality of these eyeshadows is off the charts, buttery, pigmented, smooth. Most of these shades are shimmery and I love me some shimmer that is dainty but not obnoxious. These eyeshadows provide exactly that. My favorite shades so far are Suspect, Verve and YDK and I also love Tease for the crease (I just made a lil' rhyme yayy). I can't point at one shade I don't love, if there is one that is probably Foxy because it is quite sheer but I can still find uses for it.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

Reading about this foundation online I imagined it'd be ideal for me. Lightweight, hydrating, velvety-dewy finish, reasonable price. And indeed this foundation didn't fall short. The shade I picked was no52 Vanilla and although it is a great match for me maybe I'd like it to be a teeeeny tiny bit lighter. But that's something no one but me notices, so no problem whatsoever. I love the gel-like formula, it feels soothing on the skin and it glides over any dry patches which is amazing during winter. I love using my fingers with this one as I found that this way the product sinks in better and the effect is much more natural. Once it dries, it gives a velvety, soft-focus effect which is lovely because it completely blurs out imperfections without looking cakey. Another bonus is that the semi-matte finish doesn't require any powder on top and I really don't like powder.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer

Having had success with the foundation I decided to purchase the concealer from the same line and I didn't miss out. The coverage is amazing and it is quite long lasting too. What I especially like about this concealer is that it is great for undereye concealing and spot concealing. It's not what I would use for highlighting as I'd like something more lightweight and illuminating for highlighting but I guess you can get away with it if you're a highlighter pro. Love the hygienic tube and also the fact that you get a serious amount in there.

Ardell Fashion Lashes in Black #110

First of all I need to put this out there: I'm not really a false-lash kinda gal. I don't fancy the totally made-up, fake look, it doesn't suit my style and it is not me. However for a special occasion I like to sport something a little bit more dramatic and that's where the falsies come in. I still like something demure and natural-looking though, even when I do an evening look. These lashes are ideal since they give enough volume for a flirty flutter while they still blend in with my natural lashes. I recommend these to everyone.

La Roche Posay Hydreane Light Hydrating Cream

This is my current moisturizer and it is just what my skin needs at the moment. My skin is combination with the odd dry patch around the mouth and the oilier forhead. During winter the dry areas tend to get a little drier and they oily areas a bit oilier. The good thing about this moisturizer is that it is very very lightweight, almost gel-like and it absorbs very quickly. It leaves a nice smooth velvety feeling afterwards which is fantastic and it makes a great base for makeup. It's your perfect pick-me-up product for your morning skincare routine.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+

This is a skincare product that is widely acclaimed on social media and deservedly so. The new formula is very silky and doesn't irritate the skin at all. This treatment helps with blemishes, marks and clogged pores. I use this all over the face and it provides enough moisture as well. My skin has had a few spots lately and this product really helped reduce them. I've been using it non-stop for the past couple of weeks and I have seen a major difference on my skin, however some of my blemishes are quite persistent so I will visit my dermatologist soon. I am using the European formula which is supposed to be less harsh than the US one but in any case look it up if you're interested.

This is it for now!
I'm coming back with more beauty soon!
