Outfits Of The Week: 10/31 - 11/6

Hello hello,

Happy weekend!

That feeling when you come home on a Friday afternoon, take off your shoes and jump into bed is hard to beat. Right now I'm comfortable on my couch after a long day typing this post and I'm about to watch the new How To Get Away With Murder episode, all cozied up with my blanket and tea. Heaven.

A busy week leaves me rather satisfied. Weekends are so much more enjoyable and valuable when you've had a productive, fulfilling week. That's why I always feel more inspired and motivated during fall and winter. That motivation and inspiration also rubs off on the way I dress. For me getting ready in the morning is more than just a necessity, it's a ritual that gets me excited for the day ahead and gives me the confidence I need to brave every challenge that comes my way. That's why I always like to think through my armor the night before. That way I don't have to stress when I have rougly 1 hour to wash my face, drink coffee and pull myself together.

Here are my favorite outfits from the week before with links to either the exact items or similar:

 MONDAY

To kick off the week, I chose to go with a slightly 70s inspired look, with a plain black turtleneck, my favorite cropped flare jeans (which I got from Zara last spring), a houndstooth poncho for a cozy vibe and my beloved rusty red fringe suede boots. I prefer to match these jeans with boots that go up a little past the ankles, so there is no visible skin between the hem of the jeans and the shoes. To accessorize, I went with my Zara statement cuff bracelet, which is basically attached to my wrist at all times. Because of the houndstooth poncho and the flashy boots, I didn't want to overcrowd my look with accessories and make it clownish.

TUESDAY

Tuesday was pretty busy since I had classes all day, and on hectic days like this I like to amp it up a bit more. I'm in love with blush tones at the moment, but I wanted to tone down the girly element by adding a sporty touch. The striped turtleneck with the bomber jacket make the look more casual and modern while the pale pink skirt adds that feminine sweetness to the look.

FRIDAY

Friday was also pretty busy since after class I went shopping and had dinner so I had to make sure my outfit was polished but comfortable. I channeled some major 90s grungy vibes with this look I think and I loved the edgy vibe that the boots offered. This H&M skirt - an exact match of you can find in the links below- is so incredibly comfortable for a high-waisted mini; the fabric is soft and hugs my body so gently, I'm totally impressed with it.

SUNDAY

Sunday as you can see was pretty chill, as Sundays ought to be, so I just had a movie date with my bff. In this look I am sporting yet another Zara pair of jeans I am obsessed with (exact match in the links below) which really elevates the simplest of outfits. A printed ruffled blouse and loafer flats are basically my go-to when I wanna look sophisticated but still can't be bothered with anything more complicated.

Hopefully I was able to provide some inspiration!
