Inspiration: Fashion Through the Decades

Vintage is a hot trend and in combination with the very now must-haves, you can create the perfect look. Many designers are inspired by the fashion trends of older decades. Coco Chanel, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, but even the latest ones: Madonna, and the Sex and the City girls have been a huge inspiration to all the designers considering that each of them represents a whole decade, even an era in the fashion history.

Let's make a quick flashback and remember a little these things that broke rules in the past:
20s:
> Charleston style: Fringed dresses, long pearl necklaces, dark features. Black and red characterize this wonderful period in fashion. Sexuality and femininity.
30s:

>The elegance and chicness all in one woman. Coco Chanel.
40s:
>Puffy sleeves, high waisted skirts. Don't tell me you haven't seen these in 00's catwalks?
50s:
>Full skirts, tiny waist. I can picture in my mind all the 5o's Greek movies...
60s:
>60's skinny top model, Twiggy. The make-up during this particurlar decade was so intense with an extra focus on the eyes. Lots of eyeliner and mascara then.
70s:
>Wide leg hight waisted pants. And lots of neon.

80s:
>"...Oh girls just wanna have fun.."
>"...Like a virgin...like the very first time..."

90s:
>Shoulder pads and ugly shoes. Ugh! 1990 Sex and the City.
>Late 90's, Sex and the City. Again.
