August in Greece: White & Blue

Hello my lovelies,

Summer's on its way out. The feeling's bittersweet... mostly bitter. I feel like this summer flew by so quickly but I'm still thankful for all the pretty memories. It was a quiet, relaxing time spent in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Greece.

I always spend August in Ermioni, this little seaside village in the Peloponnese. I've spent more than 20 summers there, I know every stone, every path, every house but still there's always something new to discover each time. This place has been the main vacation spot during all of my childhood years, so naturally there's always a bit of nostalgia when I go back. It's a place filled with memories, and although many things have changed over the years, somehow it feels the same.

I had my best friend Catherine over at the house for a few days and every afternoon we took on to explore all the nooks and crannies of the place.

As a kid I used to take walks like this in the village with mom and enjoy getting lost in its narrow streets, so revisiting that memory with a friend made me very happy.

As we walked around we admired the local architecture and all the little things that make Greece special.

Things like old school balconies decorated with little flower pots.

Those blues and whites never fail to deliver.

Along we the way we caught a couple of kitties snoozing on people's doorsteps. Not a rare sight around here.

We made our way down to the seafront and took a few more snaps as the sun set.

Never miss out on an opportunity to explore places you've been before or think you know well. Even if it is your neighbourhood. Get out, take a camera with you and you might see things in a different light. You can never know a place too well.

More to come soon!
