Dancing At Sunset

Hello again,

If you know me well then you surely know that sunset and twilight are my favorite time of the day. That serene, magical moment when it seems as though everything is painted in lilac and even the ugly can look charming, is unbeatable.

August in Greece: White & Blue

Hello my lovelies,

Summer's on its way out. The feeling's bittersweet... mostly bitter. I feel like this summer flew by so quickly but I'm still thankful for all the pretty memories. It was a quiet, relaxing time spent in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Greece.

Lazy Summer Days In The City

As August approaches the city becomes emptier and emptier. Buses get signifantly less crowded and downtown you're more likely to find foreigners than anything else.

Skopelos Day 5

Okay. I know I said that the previous post was my favorite from the Skopelos series but I've changed my mind. This is the one.

Skopelos Day 4

Well hello again,

I've been so appreciative of the positive feedback my last couple of posts have received and I thank you all for your kind words. During the last month I had almost forgotten how good it feels to blog.
I'm feeling very inspired at the moment and I'm hoping to expand my content and try out new things.
This has always been primarily a fashion blog, but a little change never hurt no one. How many outfits can one post till it gets repetitive and stale?

So on to day four of my Skopelos wanderings..

Skopelos Days 1 & 2

Hello there my lovely readers,

Where have I been? Well, as soon as my summer finals were over I headed out of town for a much needed vacation with the boyfriend. Our destination of choice: Skopelos island, Greece.

Vacation-Ready: 7 Covetable Looks

Hello my friends,

Today's post is a desperate effort for me to get my mind off of things. For those who don't know, I live in Greece, and we're facing some real hard times. Today is a day that will go down in history. If you've been following the world news then you must be acquainted with the situation here.

I don't want to get political right now, I've expressed my views via tumblr and twitter but this is not the place for that. Some of you may wonder, with everything that's happening to your country how do you have the desire to talk about such frivolous and vapid things like fashion, vacations and shopping?

You have to keep in mind that this website is international and it is directed to people from all around the world. That has always been my intent: to keep it open and accessible to everyone and that's why it isn't written in my mother language (I've always felt more at ease writing in English anyway). I know that not posting today wouldn't hurt anyone but as you can see I haven't updated this blog in a while. I needed to do it today because I need to get away. I need to have hope. I need to interact with people who don't have the same worries as me. I've been discussing politics 24/7 with the people around me and on social media, trying to get my point across, trying to make my voice heard in this madness. I did what I had to. Today is going to be a long day. If what it takes for me to get through it is to talk about shoes and sunscreen, then so be it.

Spring 2014 Review: Athens Fashion Week: Day 1&2

Good morning readers,

I am so excited! I attended fashion week for the first time and I must say it was a quite rewarding experience. I was in the "Press" section so today I got an email with lots of photographic content to use for the blog. I am about to review a couple of shows - the ones I considered to be the most interesting.

Plus, in an upcoming post I'll be uploading my own pictures from the actual show which I attended yesterday evening with my best friend, Catherine as well as an extensive review on the collection.

It's too cold outside for angels to fly..

It's getting really cold out here and it's time to sport our thickest sweaters and fluffiest fur. However I can't hide from you that I'm starting to yearn for spring a little bit. I am really excited to see the new clothes on the store racks. It is sale at the moment here in Greece and as you can assume, I've been spending the last few weekends shopping. Today I bought a nice cropped sweater from Benetton and a light pink MAC lipstick.

The pictures I have for you here are from my trip to my summer house a couple of weeks ago; the outfit is pretty much casual and simple but it worked great for a walk outdoors on a chilly day.

Coral Carol

I know it is officially Fall BUT I can't help reminiscing my 92 days of summer..
So..my favorite color this season was definitely CORAL (and electric blue but electric blue is more of an all-season color). Major reason why it is my favorite: it brings out sun-kissed skin (..'s so hot will melt your popsicle oh oh oh oh"- irrelevant, sorry) I bought a two-piece swimsuit in that color and a couple of other things which were my all-day favorites. In the pictures below you wil notice the almost (too) obvious contrast with the bright dresses and the white wall behind. That's what I wanted to achieve. Isn't lovely? The magic threesome: coral dress-tanned skin-white backround. Greece is filled with all these white houses with blue doors and windows, it's like a trademark.

Ray of Light

Summer in Athens is almost unberable..Too much heat, too much gas in the air, too much air conditioning..Under that heating, burning sun, I took some pictures with one dress that I found at Topshop during my one-week fantastic trip to London. It is so sad that there aren't any Topshop stores in Greece and I always wanted to shop from there. Of course there is online shopping but I don't think I'll ever get used to it. It might be more comfortable for some, because you can choose and find whatever you like just by Googling and not wander all over the city in order to find this 'perfect' dress you need for the party. But, it's definitely not even close to enter a shop, try on clothes, and getting out of it with something that now belongs to you. I might sound like Rebecca Bloomwood right now, but believe me, I'm not an addict :P Yet.

I might have taken that a little bit off, but anyways, I really loved Topshop and I hope we have in Greece soon. Besides Topshop, I loved London in general, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I wanna go back so bad! (Hey that sounded like a title of a song, didn't it? :P) But one thing you won't find in London: Greek Burning Sun. Real summer.

Mykonos, baby!

Only someone who has been there for at least once in his life can understand, what Mykonos really is about. I go there almost every year thanks to my aunt, and this is the place to spend your summer vacation! Mykonos is all about having fun because this island NEVER sleeps, and ALWAYS parties! From the day beach bar to the night club, the Greek summer pulses in Mykonos!
Among others, I took some great pictures, as I thought that it was required to make a photoshoot there ...

I know a place where the grass is really greener..

No, I'm not talking about California and west coast (I borrowed the title from Katy Perry's new song "California gurls" - I'm in love with it!), I'm talking about my school, one of the most beautiful schools in Athens. Yesterday was the last day of school technically, since it's the start of the exam period (ughh..). These are some shots I took with my friends! It's was really fan sitting on the lawn and laughing...
